God Bless America

pledge_large.jpg (166575 bytes)

We had a good 4th of July. Yesterday we went to church and for evening services, they had a special singing. Of course Addilyn was dressed in her red, white and blue best. Pictures to come. After the singing we went to eat at some friends house and met a new friend's fiance. He met her through a Christian internet site and she seems perfect for him. I am so happy that they have found each other. The Lord is awesome and amazing!
Today we ate, of course, and then let Braxton and Addilyn swim in their tiny pool. Braxton loves to swim in the tiny pool, but won't in the big in-ground pool. Stinker!
Here's the pics! Addilyn was sooo tired!

Braxton calls this hair his woodpecker hair. He wants it like this every Sunday. He is so funny!

I told Braxton that today was America's birthday. He got very excited and started talking about having a party and needing presents. :)

Fine motor WATER!

Today I'm linking up to 1+1+1+1. I love them and especially love the meaning behind their name. They are doing a Tot School. It has some really great ideas. So, we are adding ours.

Braxton loves doing his fine motor activities. We did water transfer today. He used a medicine dropper to transfer the water from one bowl to another. Braxton had gotten some really neat little drops that turn your bath water a color from his sweet friend Sophie. He loved it and was really concentrating on filling up the whole dropper.

And a Whoops!

You Are My Sunshine

You Are My Sunshine
My only sunshine.

You make me happy
 When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away!

Multitude Monday

Today I am thankful and I am going to try and accomplish my first ever link up to Multitudes On Mondays.
-I am thankful for cleaning days. (Today has been one.)
-I am thankful for my mom who came over and folded my huge mound of clothes.
-Addilyn who has been taking a great nap.
-Braxton who is excited to work on some fine motor activities.

-I'm thankful for $1.00 hats.
-HUGE smiles
-Arms that flap when a baby gets excited!

-Most of all:
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!   2Corinthians 9:15

Pool Time

We have a pool . . . an in-ground, salt water pool. So, they say salt water pools are easy to take care of. Hmm not so sure about that one. Since we have moved in three years ago, it has been one expense after another. The main issue is mustard algae. It is horrible! We get it cleared up and in a week it is back. We are really at a loss on what to do. Also, about a year ago Braxton fell in. It was traumatic to him to say the least. He now will not get off the steps. Poor thing tells us he wants a little pool. Junior has said many times he is ready to fill it in. I like it, but it is lots of work. ANYWAY, here are some water fun pics.

Okay, sorry, I don't know how to turn some of the pics.

Quotes for Life

Turns out, it’s not all about me.
In fact, it’s NOT at ALL about me.
God is God, and I am not.
He is Lord of ALL of my life.

Love this! I need to remind myself everyday, maybe every minute, to give it up to the Lord. It is not my life it is His!

I’m not so good at sewing buttons and I’m sporadic in baking, but one thing I do pretty well is mess up.
The righteous woman falls seven times and gets back up again. Proverbs 24:16

My goal this summer is to learn to sew. My mom has my grandma's old sewing machine and I really want to learn how to use it. I have NOT reached my goal, yet, but have messed up a whole lot. I AM going to keep on trying! I mess up with my husband, my children, my friends, in all areas of my life. All we can do is get back up and try again.
