6 months!

My baby is 6 months! I can't believe it. It seems like I just had her.
Things about you, Addilyn:
You love to smile.
You are doing so good nursing, but are starting to get distracted by other things.
You love just being on a blanket on the floor. You will roll all around. You only roll from your right side.
You are pushing up with your arms so much. I think you are going to be a crawler!
You LOVE to eat! You are eating anything we give you and in different textures. I am going to make you a better eater then your brother!!!!
You still like to sleep, but to get you to take a good nap you sleep better with your arms swaddled.
You are sitting up by yourself for a little while.
You love looking and laughing at Libby.
I LOVE how you get so excited when you see me or hear me.
I love that I can calm you down when no one else can. (love and hate)
I love your sweet open mouthed smile.
You love giggling at your brother.
I love that you will just sit on my lap for long periods of time.
Whewww that's a lot to love!!!
I am guessing you are almost 15 lbs. My itty bitty baby.

Sitting up!
LOVE HER!

Jesus is Alive!

We had a great Easter /Resurrection weekend. Saturday we went to Junior's Maw-maw's house and all of the cousins were there. I love when Braxton has other kids to play with. He is usually by himself and only has adults to play with. We ate some crawfish and fish. Addilyn got passed around from person to person and did great. Thank you Lord for my easy baby! Saturday evening we got home and Braxton immediately went into the bathtub. He was covered in dirt! After his bath we did our resurrection eggs. We had gone over them one time at Team Kid and on Saturday he remembered what everything represented. It really surprised me how much Braxton had been paying attention. HA! We then made resurrection cookies. This was a great recipe to teach Braxton the REAL story of Easter. Every ingredient represented a scripture. Braxton woke up Sunday morning asking about his cookies and saying, "Jesus is alive. " Wow, the words of a 3 year old!
Here are some pics of the weekend.

He just can't help himself. He has to squeeze her. Poor Addilyn!

Camera

Braxton holding Addilyn for the first time. He was mesmerized!

I have decided that I really need a new camera. I have a small digital camera, but I want a GOOD camera. I need suggestions! Since no one really reads this, I'm going to have to start asking around. I want to document everything. My babies are at such a sweet age and I just want to remember Braxton's sweet words, hugs and kisses. I know there will be a time when he will get older and won't want to love on me anymore. (I think I might cry.) I could probably go without remembering all the tantrums. HA! So my new goal is a camera!

New Pics

My sweet baby! 5 1/2 months old and so happy! Addilyn is a petite little thing at 13 lbs 12 ozs and 23.5 inches long. She is in the 25% in weight and 10% in height. She is such a good baby and loves to smile. She has just started rolling both ways and is pushing up with her hands.
My little ball player! He was trying on his uniform and SO excited! Braxton is 3 1/2 and full of energy. He loves to talk and be silly. He is definitely all boy. Everything is about mud, 4-wheelers and big monster trucks. HA!

It's been awhile!

So sorry it's been awhile. I really want to do this. I have LOTS of excuses, but I'm not even going to start. :)
Well, I went back to work teaching 3rd grade. I found out a few things about myself during this process. #1 being: I want to be home with my babies! I hate hate hate leaving them. Braxton is in a 1/2 day school program and I have seen such change in him. He is throwing more tantrums and having a hard time sharing. I am also nursing the baby and pumping at work is for the birds. Pumping in a public place is just not fun! It is a little stressful with kids knocking on the door, teachers in the lounge where you can hear every word and just finding the time in my busy school schedule. Yuck! BUT I will do it for my baby girl! I'm thinking that is a post for later. And #2 I am definitely a early childhood teacher. I'm not digging the 3rd grade attitudes. I love teaching kindergarten and phonics. Braxton has started learning his letters and sounds. I love how he asks me what words start with. My smart boy!
